1. Do I need a permit to clear vegetation along my shoreline?: Article XIII of the Land Development Code requires a Waterfront Improvement Activity permit for certain activities along a shoreline including vegetation removal. Several State agencies also regulate shoreline activities. Please call (407) 571-8331 to review the permit criteria before beginning any project along a shoreline.

2. Do I need a permit to build or modify an existing boat dock?: Article XIII of the Land Development Code requires a Waterfront Improvement Activity permit for the construction and and/or repair of a boat dock. Call (407) 571-8331 to discuss the application process.

3. Who do I call to learn more about the lakes in Altamonte Springs?: The City partners with Seminole County and other municipalities to provide this information through the Seminole County Watershed Atlas. If you need more information, please call
