2023 Red Hot & Boom

The City of Altamonte Springs and XL106.7 are pulling out all the stops for the most spectacular party of the season. Red Hot & Boom is celebrating 26 years of legendary live music, food, family, friends and firework-filled fun. This annual gathering will be the highlight of an extraordinary Independence Day weekend. There is no better place to spend the best night of the summer while enjoying unforgettable performances, a jaw-dropping fireworks show.

Event Times & Entertainment

The event is Monday, July 3 from 4 to 11 p.m. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. (weather permitting). The show’s choreographed music is simulcast by XL106.7. There are also live interviews with the artists airing on the station throughout the afternoon and evening. Stay tuned to XL106.7 for weather updates and schedule changes throughout the day.

Free & Open to the Public

Admission is FREE. Concessions are available onsite located throughout the venue. All food vendors are permitted by and come under the supervision of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Prohibited Items

Item are NOT permitted in the venue or parking areas:

  • No Drones
  • No Unauthorized Weapons or Sharp Objects
  • No Large Coolers (over 2' x 2') or Coolers on Wheels
  • No Personal Fireworks
  • No Glass
  • No Alcohol/Drugs
  • No Grilling, Propane Tanks or Open Flames
  • No pets are permitted in Cranes Roost Park starting at 7 a.m.

Allowed Items

  • Pop-Up Tents/Canopies - maximum size 10' x 10' with no sides
    Note:Signs, tents, canopies and umbrellas in the amphitheater must be taken down at 4 p.m. All others must be taken down at sundown.
  • Blankets/Tarps - no bigger than 10' x 10'
  • Folding/Beach Chairs only
  • Personal Soft-Sided Coolers - must be carried in by shoulder strap or single handle (no wheels)

Safety

Security checkpoints are located throughout the venue. Backpacks, bags, small coolers and other personal items are subject to inspection. The ASPD encourages everyone who “Sees Something to Say Something” as it relates to anything suspicious or criminal in nature.

Restrooms

There are over 65 portable restrooms and two park restrooms located throughout the site. Handicap accessible restrooms and hand wash stations are available at all restroom locations. 

Traffic & Parking

Event parking is available at the Altamonte Mall and surrounding areas. Review the traffic map for road closures, traffic tips, recommended routes and more information on going to and from the event.

After the fireworks are over, many streets will become one-way to help facilitate the ride home. In general, people driving to the event should try to park in the direction they need to go when it is time to leave.

Sound System

There are over 200 speakers located around Cranes Roost Park including the main sound system on the floating stage. The system is operational on July 3 from approximately 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. for sound checks and the show (not including any delays). Public service announcements and recorded music are broadcast throughout the day.
