1. What are the City’s guidelines for yard waste Wednesday pick-up?

Yard waste must be separated from regular household garbage and be contained in standard thirty-two (32) gallon containers, bagged, or bundled in such a manner as to facilitate reasonably easy handling by City staff. Bagged or bundled yard waste shall not exceed forty (40) pounds in weight and bundles shall not exceed two (2) feet in diameter and no one (1) piece shall exceed four (4) in length or four (4) inches in diameter.

4. Will the City collect household garbage/recycling on holidays?

Yes. The City will pick up household garbage/recycling on holidays falling on weekdays.

5. Where can I dispose of my Household Hazardous Waste?

Please call Seminole County at (407) 665-2266 or check the Seminole County Environmental Services website for disposal locations and hours of operation. This is a free service 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday (excluding holidays).

6. Where do I get new recycle bins?

To request recycle bins, call (407) 571-8607 or email Recycling@altamonte.org and the City will deliver your bins on your next recycle day.
