Special events in Altamonte Springs may require a permit based on the number of individuals attending an event. A Special Event Permit Application must be filed no less than 30 calendar days prior to the event date. Special events utilizing sound, tents or pyrotechnics may also require additional permits.
Open Air Sales are permitted in the City as long as the business transacting the sale has a valid Business Tax Receipt. If the location of the business is within City limits, an Altamonte Springs Business Tax Receipt is required. Businesses located outside the City, but wishing to conduct open air sales within Altamonte Springs, are required to show a valid Business Tax Receipt from that city. A temporary sale license will then be given.
