The City is organized into eight (8) departments. Some departments incorporate several divisions. Most divisions will have numerous positions, each varying in minimum requirements for education and experience. Specialized fields may require certification, college degrees, or specialized training. Resumes are not accepted, however applications can be obtained from the HR department , or on this website, (job listings page).
Positions may be available to City employees only or to the general public. All available positions with the City are posted in the City Hall lobby under the job opportunity area. Complete job descriptions outlining the minimum requirements and essential functions of available positions are also posted on the job opportunity board. Available positions are listed on the Job Line (407) 571-8011, which is a 24 hour recording updated each Friday afternoon. The posting and the Job Line will clearly indicate whether the position is available to the public. As a courtesy, positions available in other cities and counties are also posted on the Job Opportunity Board.
