The information needs of the community may be filled at Altamonte Springs City Library. A full range of library services includes community information, the Altamonte Springs History Collection, Inter-Library Loan Service, children's story programs, internet access, and more.
The Altamonte Springs City Library is located at 281 Maitland Avenue, just south of SR 436. You may call for information at (407) 571-8830. Services may be obtained during the following hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Children's Programs
"Wee Ones Story Time" - On Friday mornings at 11:00 a.m., we offer a 20 minute program for children 18 months - 3 years featuring music, short stories and rhymes. Bring your child's "blankie" and introduce your little one to the wonder of books!
"Tuesday Tales" 6pm - which includes music, stories, crafts and more for children ages 3 to 5 years.
"Movie Matinee" Saturdays at 2pm.
These programs are offered free to the public, but registration is requested so that we can be sure to have adequate supplies and space. For further information or to register for a children's program, please call the Children's Librarian at (407) 571-8827.
Computer Classes
"Adult Basic Computing" ("A-B-C") This program takes place Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8am to 9am. Advanced registration is required. Please call (407) 571-8830.

The library sells note paper in packs of 12 for $3.00 of the following historical sites:

- Fullers Store

- Altamonte Chapel
The library sells the "History of Altamonte Springs Florida" for only $25.00 This is a 300 page book describing the City from its inception in 1920 to 1995.
