Festival Drive
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Festival Drive is closed to through traffic north of S.R. 436 to Uptown Boulevard from January 10 to 19. Business and residential access remain available. Message boards, detour signs and barricades are in place to direct motorists.

The City of Altamonte Springs created the Uptown Altamonte area and business district to boost economic development and provide benefits to commercial patrons and residents alike. With the planned expansion of living areas and new businesses, we aim to provide an attractive, functional and pedestrian-friendly experience in the Uptown Altamonte area.

This project began Monday, August 8, 2016 and is anticipated to end February 2017.

This project will upgrade the infrastructure, provide continuous pedestrian and bicycle access and create an urban environment in Uptown Altamonte to enhance business activity in the area. Improvements and renovations will include features such as:
  • Wider sidewalks
  • Frequent pedestrian crossing opportunities
  • Traffic calming features such as narrow travel lanes, brick paver intersections and landscape strips
  • Other streetscape amenities

Note: All renovation dates are subject to change. Construction delays and inclement weather may force dates to shift.

We appreciate your patience while we work to enhance our beautiful city.

Construction Schedule & Renderings
The Festival Drive renovation project is divided into four phases. Renderings are concept only and subject to change.
