Senior Programs
Altamonte Springs Recreation is devoted to organizing and conducting activities and programs for senior citizens in Altamonte Springs and surrounding communities. Senior activities include bowling, cards, bocce ball, single-day trips, pickleball and an annual senior health fair.

Hard Rock Casino
January 22 | 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Join us for a fun day at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. Departs from Eastmonte Park. Cost is $20 and includes transportation.

Senior Health Fair
Eastmonte Park Civic Center
February 18 | 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The fair provides area residents with information about free or reduced health services. Vendors are on hand to share information about products and services. Admission is free. Download the event flyer.


Since 1994, Altamonte Springs Recreation has been host to the Senior Bocce League at Westmonte Park. Bocce is a competitive game of skill that closely resembles bowling, but is played on grass or clay courts. Practice games are on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. with Bocce games on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. The season begins on October 3 and runs through mid-May. Cost of $15 includes a holiday luncheon, an end-of-the-season luncheon and awards.

2015 Bocce Schedule

Senior Bowling

Senior Bowling takes place at the AMF Lanes on Douglas Avenue in Altamonte Springs every Tuesday from 12 to 2 p.m. Cost is $7.50 per week.

Senior Cards
Bring a group and play your favorite game of cards every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Eastmonte Civic Center. Cost is $1 per week.

Bunko is played on the first and third Thursday of every month from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Eastmonte Civic Center. Cost is $5 per person per day.

Pickleball is a fun game played on a badminton court with lowered nets using a plastic ball and wood paddles. Games are played at Eastmonte Park on Monday mornings starting at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $2 per person and equipment is provided.

Computer Skills Classes
Classes are held at the Altamonte Springs City Library from 8 to 10 a.m. Basic classes are available on Mondays and Wednesdays and Intermediate classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more information, please call (407) 571-8837.
