Senior Programs
Altamonte Springs Recreation is devoted to organizing and conducting activities and programs for senior citizens in Altamonte Springs and surrounding communities. Senior activities include bowling, bocce, single-day trips, pickleball and an annual senior health fair.

Senior Trips
Gospel Brunch 
June 12 | 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Join us for the new Gospel Brunch at Disney's House of Blues. Local talent will perform traditional and contemporary Gospel songs. Enjoy an amazing all-you-can-eat buffet featuring breakfast favorites plus tender carving stations, southern specialties and mouthwatering desserts. After brunch, enjoy free time shopping at Downtown Disney. The cost of $60 includes transportation, admission and dining. Space is limited. 

Hard Rock Casino
July 14 | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Join us for a fun day at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. The trip departs from Eastmonte Park. Cost of $20 includes transportation. 


Since 1994, Altamonte Springs Recreation has been host to the Senior Bocce League at Westmonte Park. Bocce is a competitive game of skill that closely resembles bowling, but is played on grass or clay courts. Practice games are on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. with Bocce league games on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. The season begins on October 7 and runs through late April. Cost of $15 includes a holiday luncheon, an end-of-the-season luncheon and awards.

Senior Bowling

Senior Bowling takes place at the AMF Lanes on Douglas Avenue in Altamonte Springs every Tuesday from 12 to 2 p.m. Cost is $7.50 per week.

Pickleball is a fun game played on a badminton court with lowered nets using a plastic ball and wood paddles. Games are played at Eastmonte Park on Monday mornings starting at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $2 per person and equipment is provided.

Computer Skills Classes
Classes are held at the Altamonte Springs City Library from 8 to 10 a.m. Basic classes are available on Mondays and Wednesdays and Intermediate classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more information, please call (407) 571-8837.
