Information
The Utility Maintenance Division consists of three primary areas that include:
Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical components of the drinking water and water reclamation facilities, such as pumps, tanks, piping, and motors.
Install and maintain instrumentation and security equipment for monitoring the status of and providing security for the drinking water and water reclamation facilities. This includes water quality analyzers, water pressure and level instruments, and development of control logic for computerized systems.
Develop bid specifications and provide front-line data gathering for procurement of equipment and services specific to the Division of Water, Wastewater and Reuse.
The Maintenance and Instrumentation work areas provide for full-time response to unusual or problem conditions that may occur during night or weekend hours. This ensures the reliable functioning of the wide-range of equipment used at the facilities.
