The Consumer Confidence Report, aka Water Quality Report, is issued annually to provide data related to the quality of the City’s drinking water. The report is mailed to every City resident and business. You can view the reports at this link – water quality reports.

The Plant Operations Division consists of two primary areas that include:

  • Operation of the drinking water treatments plants.
  • Operation of the water reclamation facility.

    • The Plant Operators are licensed in both drinking water and waste water plant operations by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. The essential duties of the Plant Operators include:

  • Make adjustments to the processes, supported by information gained from operational and laboratory data.
  • Maintain operational logs that reflect equipment run time, maintenance and calibration of equipment, flow data, and chemical usage.
  • Maintain inventory of chemicals, and change or refill empty chemical containers.
  • Full-time response to unusual or problem conditions that may occur at any time of day. This ensures that safe and reliable operation of the facilities is uninterrupted.
  • Routinely inspect the perimeter of the facilities to ensure security fencing is in good condition.
  • Sample collection and performing routine water quality analysis.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend dispatch function for Public Works emergencies.

    • Annually a sample of reclaimed water is analyzed to compare the quality against drinking water. The parameters typically applied to drinking water as used for testing of the reclaimed water. The results of this can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
