SOLID WASTE CALENDAR

2010 / 2011 IMPORTANT DATES

Due to budgetary constraints, the City of Altamonte Springs must make some changes to the refuse/recycling collection program.

Fall Cleanup has been discontinued. To arrange for a special pickup or questions, call 407-571-8607.

Spring Cleanup will continue as scheduled, March 07-18, 2011.

Refuse / recycling pickups occurring on these holidays will be collected on the next regularly scheduled collection day.

Yard waste wednesday will continue, Please Do Not mix with refuse.

Every Wednesday in January there will be Christmas Tree Recycling pick-up.

CITY NOT TO COLLECT ELECTRONICS FROM THE CURB
Seminole County maintains a drop-off for electronics at the Transfer Station on CR 419, as they do for other hazardous materials. The Transfer Station is open six days a week, for Seminole County residents for their convenience.

TELEPHONE BOOK RECYCLING
Place telephone books in your newspaper bin and place curbside on your normal recycling day.

SPRING CLEANUP
Large household items such as furniture and appliances and large tree trimmings and branches picked up free of charge. Place items curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your regular garbage days. NO major renovation material, electronics, tires, propane tanks or hazardous materials.
