SIDEWALK/CONCRETE REPAIRS

image1If a resident should see a severely raised area or broken sidewalk please notify the Streets Division at 407-571-8607.  A Supervisor will check the area to see if it meets the criteria for a trip hazard and if so, it will be coned off or barricaded until it can be repaired or replaced.

Residents are expected to keep their sidewalks free of trip hazards (branches, toys, etc.) or other avoidable dangers.  Should slime or mold form on the sidewalk around your home, it may be time to check overhanging branches from trees or bushes and prune them back to allow the sun to have access to the location.  Household bleach mixed with water and a broom can be used to remove the slime and mold from the sidewalk.  If it is a large area, it may be time to rent a pressure washer.

The City is NOT responsible for “cleaning” sidewalks in residential areas.
