Park Landscape Management and Operations

The Urban Beautification Division has 9 very different crews:

Crew 1 is the nursery crew who is responsible for planting and growing all the city’s annuals and tending to the city’s four greenhouses.

Crew 2 is a specialty crew. They maintain all of our passive parks as well as City Hall, the Clerks office and Hermits Trail Park.

Crew 3 is the tree crew. This crew’s main responsibility is trimming all the cities street trees and work in the city parks. They are also trained to use the City's heavy equipment.

Crew 4 is the City's large mow crew, they mow our City ball fields on a bi-weekly basis and also handle any bush hog mowing needed.

Crew 5 is responsible for Uptown Altamonte and Cranes Roost Park. They also maintain part of Central Parkway and Palm Springs Drive.

Crew 6 is the irrigation crew, they maintain all of the City's many irrigated areas. Daily maintenance is done to keep our parks and medians green.

Crew 7 is our fertilization and spray crew, they fertilize all of our parks and medians.

Crew 9 is our small mow crew, they mow all of the City's passive parks, City Hall, and Cranes Roost Park.
