Urban Beautification

The Urban Beautification Division has six very different crews.

The first crew (crew #1) is the nursery crew who is responsible for planting and growing all the city’s annuals and tending to the city’s four greenhouses.

Crew 2 is a specialty crew. They maintain all of our passive parks as well as maintenance of the 436 and Maitland Blvd. medians.

Crew 3 is the tree crew. This crew’s main responsibility is trimming all the cities street trees and work in the city parks. They are also trained in tree removal and stump grinding.

Crew 4 in another specialty crew. Their main job is large landscape installation and landscape replacement. They also handle the mosquito control and the operation of our heavy equipment.

Crew 5 is responsible for the new sites around Cranes Roost Park. This hard working staff is dedicated to maintaining and beautifying the area.

Crew 6 has 2 irrigation technicians. They are in charge of the many irrigation systems throughout the city.
