Although most of the City’s special events are held at Cranes Roost Park, occasionally Lake Lotus Park will provide the appropriate venue for one. An example would be the children’s fishing derby that was held on Saturday, May 1st. Another event recently held at Lake Lotus Park was the Kids Safety & Fun Day, which included such activities as fishing, snake and reptile interaction and safety lessons/demonstrations by various public safety agencies.
