Crane’s Roost Park is staffed by trained, State of Florida certified Park Rangers seven days a week. These Park Rangers perform a multitude of tasks that keep the park beautiful and patrons safe. You and your family can feel safe and secure at Crane’s Roost Park knowing that during posted hours Park Rangers are on-site keeping watch over the activity in the park.
Monitoring of these activities is accomplished by several means. First and foremost is the Park Ranger physically patrolling the park to observe and interact with visitors in person. The park also has an emergency phone system with locations around the park where a visitor can pick up a phone that will automatically connect them with a Park Ranger or the Altamonte Springs Police Department. Then the caller can request assistance or alert a Ranger about suspicious activity in the park.
To supplement the methods listed above there is a camera system installed at various locations in the park that can be monitored by Park Rangers and the Police Department to observe suspicious persons or activities and to aid us in identifying possible problems or hazardous situations within the park. In addition to duties listed above the Park Rangers are responsible for the maintenance and up-keep of the park. On any given day you might find them trimming trees, pressure-washing, painting or repairing items throughout. Of course there are many tasks that must be performed daily such as litter removal and cleaning restrooms. As you can see the Park Rangers do whatever is needed to keep the park safe for our guests as well as ensuring that Crane’s Roost Park is immaculately maintained.
