Developer’s Guide Section 11: Introduction The City of Altamonte Springs is creating a new and improved process for site engineering inspections and project close-out for all new private development construction projects within the City. These procedures are effective as of April 23, 2007. We are incorporating many of the existing requirements that are currently in place along with newly improved procedures for progress site inspections and a more defined process for required documentation that is needed before a Certificate of Occupancy can be issued. The City intends to have a process that provides more certainty to the information that is needed for individual projects, and to allow for the time necessary for inspections and staff review of documents so that these elements can be incorporated into construction schedules for a project. This new process is being implementing as a six-month City policy. At the end of six months we will make necessary refinements as needed and incorporate the final process into the City’s Land Development Code. This policy has been drafted as a revision to Article XVI of the Land Development Code, and its requirements replace the requirements of the current Article XVI in the Code. A link to the Article XVI policy document appears below.
