Bids and Quotations - Procedure 016

1. PURPOSE

   To provide policies concerning the solicitation of competitive bids.

    

2. SCOPE:

   This procedure applies to all purchases.

4. GENERAL
   1. Tax Exempt

      The City is sales tax exempt. Confirm that sales tax will not be added to purchases. The Florida Tax Exempt Number for the City of Altamonte Springs is 69-01-034044-54C (Exhibit 016-A). Copies can be made for vendors upon request.

       

   2. Ship Via

      When obtaining quotes, inform prospective vendors that our preferred method of destination is FOB (Freight on Board). All price quotes should include shipping and not contain hidden costs.
