Mission
The mission of the Finance Department is to safeguard and protect the City's assets, to insure maximum utilization of revenues, to provide financial support to departments/divisions, and to record and report accurate and timely financial information to all elected and appointed officials as well as the citizens of the City of Altamonte Springs. The Department consisting of five divisions: Accounting, Management Information Systems, Procurement, Risk Management and Utility Billing, provides services to all City departments/divisions. These services include providing financial analysis such as the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, computer support, safety and insurance services, coordination of all City purchasing, cash and investment management, pension management, debt service management, and the disposition of all surplus property.
