The City Clerk is the designated qualifying official for all city elections. Elections take place in November of each year, and the qualifying period for commission candidates is open for one week during the month of August.

Qualifications for commission candidates include residing in their respective commission districts six (6) months prior to qualifying and being a registered elector.

Parties interested in qualifying for City Commission positions should contact the City Clerk at 407-571-8121.

Forms to register to vote by mail may be picked up at the City Clerk's Office. To register to vote or make any changes, in person, you may visit the Supervisors of Elections main office in Sanford, the Altamonte City Library or the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Drivers Licenses Offices.
