Business Watch
BUSINESS WATCH
Business Watch establishes a communication link among area businesses, establishes a dialogue with the Police Department, and allows us to share information about criminal activity occurring in your community.
Business Watch promotes teamwork between the Altamonte Springs Police Department and the business community in an attempt to reduce crime in commercial areas. Robbery, burglary, criminal mischief, shoplifting, employee theft, and fraud are just some of the criminal activities business owners and managers must confront on a daily basis. In an effort to assist local businesses, the Altamonte Springs Police Department offers the Business Watch Program. Through this partnership, we are able to offer many services to the business community. For More information contact PFC Anthony VanCleave at (407) 571-8291 or ABVancleave@altamonte.org

Meetings can be held at your business or the Police Department.
Special Events
If your business holds “Open Houses”, “Kids Days”, or “Safety Days”, a member of the Altamonte Springs Police Department is available to attend. We provide child fingerprinting, child identification kits, and hand out safety literature.
CPTED Surveys
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Surveys are conducted by appointment by a certified officer. CPTED is defined as, "The proper design and effective use of the built environment can lead to a reduction in the fear and incidence of crime, and an improvement of the quality of life." During the survey we will examine the physical layout of the property, the building, and the workspace. Recommendations will then be made to help reduce crime, and more importantly, the fear of crime. Often times these recommendations are simple and inexpensive to implement.
