The Budget Management Office provides professional budgetary, financial, and procurement accountability to the Police Department and other City Departments.  This Budget Management office is responsible for administrative and supervisory work involving the financial management of the Altamonte Springs Police Department.  They ensure expenditures of public monies are managed properly and in accordance with generally accepted accounting policies and procedures, federal, state and local law enforcement guidelines as well as city ordinance, and police department rules and regulations, policies and procedures. 

 

Some duties include participating in the preparation of the annual budget, analyzing expenditure trends, and evaluating budget requests.  The Budget Manager is also responsible for forecasting financial requirements, monitoring and maintaining the annual budget reports, and supervising the procurement and supply functions of the police department.  The Budget Manager organizes these functions plus many more in order to facilitate the development of a functional budget for the Altamonte Springs Police Department.
