Internal Affairs Section
Internal Affairs Section serves to ensure the integrity of the public, the agency and its employee’s. Every employee must conduct themselves in a manner consistent with good ethics, high principles and trustworthiness expected of them by the public and the Altamonte Springs Police Department. An employee’s ability to perform his or her duties is dependant of the respect and confidence a community has for the agency, its employee’s and for law enforcement officers in general.
This section is responsible for assisting with the development of department goals, objectives, and work programs, as well as, researching innovative approaches for various police services. When assigned, this section will assist with internal inspections and inquiries of various bureaus, divisions, and units for efficiency, productivity and compliance with the Altamonte Springs Police Departments directives.
Any internal investigations concerning the Altamonte Springs Police Department, other City Departments and other Law Enforcement Agencies shall be conducted by the Internal Affairs Section as requested by the Chief of Police.
