Records Division

The Records Division is responsible for proper maintenance of all police records and associated documents. The division ensures that all appropriate components are present for each assigned case file when processed. The normal operating hours for the Records Division is Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Records Division is the receptionist for walk-in and telephone calls at the Police Department. They also provide copies of various police reports for criminal justice agencies, insurance companies, and other authorized agencies or individuals as required.

In addition, volunteers provide fingerprinting services to the public during the following hours at the COPS Center located in the Altamonte Mall lower level between Macy's and JC Penney's.

Monday-Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Fingerprinting fees are presently; $5.00 for residents of the City of Altamonte Springs and $10.00 for non residents (tax included).

Report copies (except Traffic Homicide Reports which are $45.00 plus photo costs) are $ .50 for the first page and $ .10 per additional pages.

Special studies/research of public records is charged at a rate of $20.00 per hour.
