Seniors Vs. Crime

PLEASE NOTE: Seniors Vs Crime has temporarily relocated to the Altamonte Springs Police Department at 175 Newburyport Avenue while the Altamonte Mall location undergoes renovations.

The Altamonte Springs Police Department, in partnership with the Attorney General’s Office, opened the Seniors Vs. Crime Storefront within the COPS Center located in Altamonte Mall in July 2004. To help reduce the embarrassment or fear some seniors feel, Seniors Vs. Crime provide an opportunity for seniors to speak with a senior peer if they feel that they have been, or are currently being taken advantage of or victimized.  In addition, trained “Senior Sleuths” will assist senior victims with civil complaints and quite possibly help them recover lost money. Seniors Vs. Crime is staffed by trained Senior Sleuths on Tuesdays from 12 pm – 4 pm, Wednesdays from 9 am – 1 pm and Fridays from 12pm - 4pm.
