Senior Programs
Altamonte Springs Recreation is devoted to organizing and conducting activities and programs for senior citizens in Altamonte Springs and surrounding communities. Senior activities include bowling, bocce, single-day trips, pickleball and an annual senior health fair.

Gaylord Palms 
December 14 | 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

With over two million twinkling lights, an amazing 54-foot-tall Christmas tree and captivating musical events, there's no better way to celebrate the season. Cost of $55 includes transportation and lunch at MOOR. ICE! admission is an additional $30 and is optional.

Lavender N' Lace team Room and Barn Antiques
January 18 | 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

Experience the Victorian ambiance and admire antique china collections. After lunch, we will visit the Barn Antiques in Lake Alfred. Cost of $50 includes lunch and transportation. Space is limited. 

Sonnentag Theater at the Icehouse: "Don't Dress for Dinner" 
February 8 | 4:30 - 10 p.m.

“Don’t Dress for Dinner” is an Adult Comedy playing at the Sonnentag Theater in Mt. Dora. Cost of $55 includes transportation, dinner and admission to the show. Space is limited.

Bocce

Since 1994, Altamonte Springs Recreation has been host to the Senior Bocce League at Westmonte Park. Bocce is a competitive game of skill that closely resembles bowling, but is played on grass or clay courts. Practice games are on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. with Bocce league games on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. Registration for the new season begins September 1. The season begins on October 7 and runs through late April. Cost of $15 includes a holiday luncheon, an end-of-the-season luncheon and awards.

Senior Bowling

Senior Bowling takes place at the AMF Lanes on Douglas Avenue in Altamonte Springs every Tuesday from 12 to 2 p.m. Cost is $8 per week.

Pickleball
Pickleball is a fun game played on a badminton court with lowered nets using a plastic ball and wood paddles. Games are played at Eastmonte Park on Monday mornings starting at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $2 per person and equipment is provided.

Senior Game Day
Program is held every Thursday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Eastmonte Park Civic Center. Board Games, Chess, Checkers, Dominoes, Horse Shoes and Corn hole are offered. A light lunch and snacks are served from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Cost is an annual membership fee of $10. 

Computer Skills Classes
Classes are held at the Altamonte Springs City Library from 8 to 10 a.m. Basic classes are available on Mondays and Wednesdays and Intermediate classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more information, please call (407) 571-8837.
