Programs & Events
Computer ClassAdult Computer Classes
Adult computer classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 8 to 10 a.m. before the library opens. Classes are free with your Altamonte Springs Library card. Beginner classes are Mondays and Wednesdays and intermediate classes (Microsoft Office applications) are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Classes are limited to 14 students.

Children’s Programs
The library features a dedicated children's room catering to younger readers.

Programs include:
  • Story Time - Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 11 a.m.
  • Once-a-Month Craft Projects - Second Saturday of the month from 12 to 1 p.m. (after Story Time)
  • Homework Help
  • After-School Art - Wednesdays from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Annual 4th Grade Writing Contest
  • Annual Summer Reading Program - Weekly during June and July

Learning Express
The City Library also offers access to Learning Express Library, an online service offering tutorials and practice tests for SAT, ACT, GED, GRE, GMAT, ASVAB and many others. The service is free to cardholders and can be accessed from any computer. Call or visit the library to set up your account.

Special Events
Special events for adults and children occur annually. Past events have included guest authors such as Julie Compton, Jay Boyar and Tim Dorsey, as well as Black History Month art exhibits and demonstrations by the Weavers of Orlando.
