Mosquito Fact Sheet

The City currently uses Anvil 2+2 chemical from Clark Mosquito Control Inc. for controlling adult mosquitoes and Larvicide in city-owned retention ponds for controlling mosquito larvae before they become adults.

A ULV or Ultra Low Volume sprayer powered by the truck battery is used to dispense the spray used for adult mosquito control, thus eliminating the loud noise often associated with mosquito spraying.

Seminole County is now handling all Mosquito issues for all the cities in the county. To make a spray request or if you have any mosquito questions please call 407-665-5542.

The city still has mosquito spray equipment in case of a health emergency but will only use this equipment to supplement the Counties program.
