Mosquito Fact Sheet

Public roads within the City of Altamonte Springs are sprayed on a per complaint basis. You can download the "Mosquito Spray Request Form" at the bottom of this page.

The City currently uses Anvil 2+2 chemical from Clark Mosquito Control Inc. for controlling adult mosquitoes and Larvicide in city-owned retention ponds for controlling mosquito larvae before they become adults.

A ULV or Ultra Low Volume sprayer powered by the truck battery is used to dispense the spray used for adult mosquito control, thus eliminating the loud noise often associated with mosquito spraying.
