How to Apply
Applications for current positions are available on the Job Opportunities page or at the Human Resources Department located in City Hall.
All questions on the application should be answered completely. Each application includes a Minimum Qualification Information form, which is used exclusively for initial qualification and must be legibly completed. Resumes are not accepted in lieu of a city application.
Completed applications must be submitted to the Department of Human Resources prior to the closing date and time specified on the posting. Acceptable methods include:

Certificates, documentation, and other related materials required for the position are the sole responsibility of the applicant.
Completed applications are held by Human Resources until the position closing date. Each minimum qualification form is reviewed to determine position eligibility. Applications exhibiting the minimum qualifications are sent to the hiring department for review. Applicants with the highest skills and most relevant work history required for the position are contacted by the department supervisor for interview and/or testing, as required. Testing can range from skills assessments to physical fitness assessments. The selection process can take from three to 14 weeks, depending on the position.
If not selected for interview or testing, the applicant is notified by mail or email after the hiring decision has been made. All inquiries regarding this process should be directed to the Human Resources Department.
Application forms are only accepted for jobs that are available and posted. Interested persons wishing to apply for positions not currently open may complete an Interest Card. Cards are also available at the Human Resources Department.
